Fiber-Optic – Transmission Dip Probes

Transmission dip probes are ideal for online and inline absorbance measurements in fluids. When the probe end is dipped into or permanently mounted in the fluid, absorbance can be measured effectively. Light is transmitted to the probe end, where it crosses a predetermined gap, then reflects off a diffuse white reflective material and returns to the receiving fiber. This reflected light is carried by the receiving fiber to a spectrometer, allowing for precise absorbance measurements.

Applications:

  • Inline Fluid Monitoring: Ideal for real-time monitoring of fluid properties in industrial processes, such as chemical production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and water treatment.
  • Absorbance Measurements: Used for measuring the absorbance of various fluids, including oils, chemicals, and liquids in both lab and production environments.
  • Quality Control: Ensures consistency and quality of liquid products by continuously measuring key properties, such as concentration, in fluids during production.
  • Process Optimization: Helps optimize fluid-related processes by providing real-time data on fluid characteristics, enabling adjustments for better product consistency.
